On July 1st, 34 students from across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, gathered in the nation’s capital to participate in The Eagles Leadership Conference.

The conference was held at the 4-H Conference Center in Washington DC, where Founders and Hosts, Randall and Rhonda Parris led four days of leadership training sessions, along with guest speakers, Patrick Ballington of Lead Institute: Georgia, Brian & Beba Schlottmann of Abante Internationall, Ian Ivey of the Leadership Institute, as well as Pastor Anthony Braswell of the Northpark Church of God.

The attendees enjoyed several intense training sessions, and hands on experiences, while learning valuable lessons about how faith influenced our nation’s early beginnings, and forefathers. There were several tours to the capitol, and the monuments, as well as museums, and an amazing closing 4th of July celebration aboard the Mallory on the Potomac river with good food, music, fireworks, and lots of great moments for story sharing.

Eagles Initiative is an amazing weekend where “iron sharpens iron”, and great relationships are built. Upon arrival, all the attendees are strangers, however, upon departure, they have become family.

Abante International is proud to be a supporter and a participant in this great leadership initiative.
