ATLANTA, GA— On September 5th and 6th, the Abante International team traveled to Georgia Tech for two days of partnered ministry with Chi Alpha ATL. Chi Alpha ATL is an interdenominational campus ministry filled with students who desire to connect to God, each other and their campus.
On Wednesday, Dale Stephens, the director of Chi Alpha at Georgia Tech, briefed our colleagues on the academic, social and religious atmosphere of the campus. The team was then able to take a Prayer Walk throughout campus to seek God and gain better understanding of how to approach ministry for the following day.
On Thursday, the colleagues of Abante International worked with Chi Alpha ATL leadership to spread the word of the organization on campus, and more importantly share the love of Christ with Georgia Tech. Our team was given the opportunity to invite students on campus to Chi Alpha’s ice cream social by giving out cookies, drinks and flyers, as well as socially interact with a variety of college students. Our team was also able to survey students to find out how they felt about God on campus and whether they felt He loved the people of Georgia Tech. The various social interactions throughout the day gave us a vehicle to plant seeds throughout the campus, learn from other students and gain personal experience witnessing to others.
Abante International is so grateful that Chi Alpha invited us to come and be a part of their ministry at Georgia Tech and we know that great things are happening thought the campus in the name of the Lord.[fpspecificalbums id=’10151049664269677′ paging=100 size=small]
