SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico

In the morning of October 30th the Abante International colleagues made their way to the Academia Baustista of Puerto Nuevo (http://abpnpr.com/) where they had been invited to lead two youth services; one for middle school and another for high-school.

Abante colleague Manuel Vital prepared a word for the middle School Service and Founding Director, Brian Schlottmann, preached in the High School service. After the services the colleagues had the opportunity to interact with the students and present the vision of Abante.

Many of the students showed an interest in the program’s unique approach to missional training and there were many moments for organic ministry. Later, the Abante colleagues had an opportunity to get a tour of the school grounds. It was a good way to represent Abante and share the love of Christ with the students and staff from the school.

Abante International offers opportunities for small internships while the colleagues are on the island. Many of the Abante colleagues are preparing themselves to go into the mission field of Education. Abante provides them with a broad view of what cross-cultural ministry in education looks like.
