The colleagues learned valuable lessons about the ministry of encouragement and outreach while serving in Kiel. The first few days were spent working with the organization Help to Go, under the direction of Hans-Peter Rahardt. The ministry with this wonderful organization included, interactions with locals at the organization’s Galatas’ Cafe, as well as serving the drug addicts, homeless, and alcoholics by feeding them, and hearing their stories. There was also a meaningful Prayer Walk on behalf of the projects in Gaarden, where there are many refugees and unemployed families.
The team spent the rest of their time serving at the Kieler Leuchtturm Church under the leading of Ms. Hanna Walsh. The team enjoyed serving through preaching, testimonies, worship and also a combined evening of worship and ministry with a neighboring church. It is clear God is doing something new in the North of Germany.
The colleagues also had the opportunity to engage the youth from the local Church while on a day trip to Denmark, and a BBQ fellowship at the home of one of the congregants. The fellowship at the Ledding’s home was a great time for the youth to share what God is doing in their lives. There were several stories that encouraged the entire group. The team met many wonderful people, and created great new friendships and beautiful memories.
