This weekend the team had the pleasure of teaming up with Logos Church in Plzen, Czech Republic for street evangelism. After Sunday service, the colleagues drove into the town plaza with an eagerness to minister. It is Easter Sunday and the plaza is crowded with families enjoying quality time outdoors.
For some of the colleagues, this is the first time they have participated in street evangelism. Colleagues Katherine Sosebee and Emily Frost organized an original skit for the team, which they performed in the middle of the plaza. Each colleague stepped out in faith with a special boldness and shared their “Sacred Story.” One of Abante’s primary teachings is that of the importance of sharing our life stories. When we share the story of our life we testify of what God’s love and power can do.
“Share your story with someone. You never know how one sentence of your life story could inspire someone to rewrite their own.”
Many people walked by and several stayed to listen to the testimonies colleagues shared. Our director, Diana Cruz, led people into a time of worship. As the team shared, worshipped and performed, the crowed grew. Our brothers and sisters from Logos shared the Gospel with each person who stopped to join us. Everyone who approached the plaza was welcomed and invited to attend church with them.
This time of street evangelism provided many people with the opportunity to hear the Gospel message on such a significant day. The team is now heading back to Germany to continue their studies at the European Theological Seminary (ETS), but the people of Plzen remain in the prayers of the colleagues and the Logos Church.
