DORADO, Puerto Rico
I believe that working with good people matters because then the work environment is good. If there is a sense of respect and belief among the people you work with, that is when good work is doneRanbir Kapoor
Every year that Abante International has had a presence in Puerto Rico, the Universidad Teologica del Caribe (UTC/Caribbean Theological University) leadership and students have been a good partnership, and collaborator. This year, on Thursday, October 15, a UTC delegation came to visit the Abante Colleagues at Casa de Abante in Dorado, PR. The team came prepared to minister to the Colleagues through worship, a wonderful devotion, and sharing their sacred stories.
The visit from the UTC colleagues proved to be both inspiring, and encouraging. There was a beautiful spirit of harmony while everyone present enjoyed a home made breakfast meal and shared their experiences as well as thoughts on reaching out to the lost and hurting through unconditional love.
The point of networking with other organizations is not only for the sake of collecting information, and contacts for future endeavors, but also to go deeper as the colleagues become story collectors, and encouragers. Networking is not viewed as work, or as obligatory. It becomes a delight beyond the practice of engaging. It is a way of becoming vulnerable with others about ideas, plans, vision, etc., and it is a way of following Christ’s example of making every encounter with others an unforgettable experience.
